Weather Forecast

Saturday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Partly cloudy, slight chance of afternoon storms

TODAY: We will see a southwest wind at 5-10 mph by the afternoon hours which will warm us to 80 percent, even by the lake!  A cold front is marching southeast from Manitoba.  This front will give places north of the Iron Range a 40 percent chance of evening storms, a 30 percent for the Iron Range and a 20 percent chance here in the Twin Ports.  The chance of rain is 40 percent overnight into Sunday for the entire region.

SUNDAY: The cold front sits over the region and we see a 40 percent chance of scattered storms because of it.  Lows are in the mid to upper 50s and highs in the mid-70s.  Expect mostly cloudy skies.

MONDAY: High pressure pushes over the lake, which will give us an east wind and cooling us down a bit.  Lows will be around 55 and highs near 72.  Expect mostly sunny skies.

TUESDAY: A low-pressures system over western Nebraska will give us a 20 percent chance of a storm or two by the afternoon.  The high should stick around Lake Superior, impeding most of the rain potential.
