Ruth Esther (Wiitala) Lindelof, 87, of Plymouth, Minn., passed away quietly after a full life on March 25, 2014.

Ruth lived for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She spent several decades supporting her family as a homemaker and working with her husband in their three businesses. As a mother, she volunteered her time as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader for her children's troops. Throughout her life, she shared her favorite pastimes of cooking, gardening, camping, traveling, sewing, and painting with her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by daughter, Carol Lindelof; sister, Arlene Makela; and parents, Jack and Sylvia Wiitala.

Survived by beloved husband of 70 years, Leonard Lindelof; children, Sue Linman (Steve Waller), Jackye Armstrong (Dave Reed), Curt Lindelof (Jim Sherwood), and Lauren Lindelof-Leith (Ralph Pastoret); grandchildren Brett, Karmyn (Grant), Nicole (Jeff), Samantha, Allison, Andrew, Stefanie (Jon), Jessica (Daniel), Kelsey (Elliot), Clayton and seven great grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Messiah Methodist Church located at 17805 County Rd. 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. Please join us at noon to share memories before the service and stay for a light luncheon following the service. An internment will take place later this spring at Pine Glade Cemetery in Oulu, Wis. Memorials may be given in Ruth's honor to the Lupus Foundation.
