Trump cancels June summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un



Richard G. "Bud" Drennen, 79, of Proctor, passed away on May 6, 2014 with his family by his side.

Bud was born in Duluth on June 9, 1934 to George and Phoebe (Weaver) Drennen.

He graduated from Hermantown High School in 1953. Most of Buds working career was spent working as an Optical Lab Technician in the Medical Arts Building. He retired from Walman Optical in 1998. After his retirement he worked part time for a number of years at the Proctor High School doing custodial work and selling tickets. Bud enjoyed the outdoors as well as traveling with his wife. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doris, Alice and Florence and brothers, Jack and Donald.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Joyce; daughter, Kelly (Brian) Iverson and son Scott (Shelly); four grandchildren, Brandon and Chelsea Iverson and Nick and Cassie Drennen; sister Jane Vandenbusche; brother Tom (Marlene) Drennen as well as many extended family members and friends.
