The incidents happened on the north side of the city, Sheriff Leif Lunde reported in a news release. He advised residents and visitors to not let pets run loose, and to use caution if they encounter a wild animal.

People in Grand Marais or elsewhere in Cook County who encounter an animal they believe to be dangerous can contact the Sheriff’s Office at (218) 387-3030.
