Report of wolf sighting, warning issued in Cook County
Authorities in Cook County issued a warning Thursday about incidents in which wolves have attacked dogs and approached people in Grand Marais.
The incidents happened on the north side of the city, Sheriff Leif Lunde reported in a news release. He advised residents and visitors to not let pets run loose, and to use caution if they encounter a wild animal.
People in Grand Marais or elsewhere in Cook County who encounter an animal they believe to be dangerous can contact the Sheriff’s Office at (218) 387-3030.
