* Robin Wall Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants,” is the winner of its 2014 nature writing award.

* “A Place for Turtles,” by author Melissa Stewart and illustrated by Higgins Bond, is the winner of its 2014 nature writing award for children.

City of Superior Environmental Services Division of Public Works seeks entries for their Water Words Poetry and Short Prose Contest. Share the role that water has in Superior or in the world.
