Reader's view: Speak out to keep freedoms
I am writing in response to two letters on the Sunday, March 23 Opinion page: “Readers’ views are their own – not the newspaper’s” and “Every ‘no’ makes GOP hypocrisy more apparent.”
I give kudos to the two writers for saying what many people were thinking or saying. I just might add my own statement, saying that people like these two men are what we in Duluth need to recognize that we need to speak out, read more on politics, and voice our beliefs in order to keep our freedoms for the next generation. By their speaking out, our children and grandchildren might have a choice to see there are differences between political people who want to help and those who just want more power for themselves.
