Reader's view: Hobby Lobby story ignored ruling’s rationale

Email

With the exception of one paragraph, the 18-paragraph July 3 story, “Supreme Court decision sparks protest at Hobby Lobby in Duluth,” was devoted to the protestors’ arguments against Hobby Lobby.

The News Tribune’s reporter said the protestors “were knowledgeable about their cause;” however, they were merely parroting the Democrat’s talking points against the court decision. No mention was made that Hobby Lobby’s insurance covers 16 methods of contraception. Information on the constitutional rationale for the Supreme Court decision is readily available; however, it was ignored by the reporter.
