Reader's view: Chester Creek Concerts all end at reasonable hour
An Aug. 27 letter complained about loud outdoor music, including from Chester Bowl (Reader’s View: “Stop late-night music”). It read, “Why must loud music go past 10 o’clock?”
I would like to set the record straight, at least with regard to Chester Bowl. For 32 years, the Chester Creek Concerts have ended at 8:30 p.m. at the latest. This season we had nine events; seven ended at 8:30 p.m., one ended at 8 p.m., and the final concert was finished at 7:30 p.m. Some 7,250 music lovers enjoyed our free outdoor concerts without a single neighbor complaint.
I would like to suggest that in the future, letter writers get their information correct before making false accusations about the beloved Chester Creek Concerts.
