Poetry Corner for April 27, 2014
Puffs of white billowing up to their limits.
Reaching for a ceiling it cannot breech.
Layers building upon layers of off-white.
Churning and moving in a dance of wind,
Casting shadows on what is below.
Colors changing from puffy white to gray
Then move to black
As they band above and beyond.
Soon streaks of hot light shoot over in sheets and bolts of power.
Charging to where their course is easier.
Rumbles of thunder shout through the darkening skies
To be heard by those below,
Cadence of repeating booms rush through the layers.
To be heard by those below.
Going through their stages without a care.
