Ojard becomes state’s youngest Haidong Gumdo black belt

Lakeview Christian Academy fifth-grader Matteah Ojard became the youngest student in Minnesota to earn a black belt rank in the Haidong Gumdo discipline. Her brother, Josiah, was the previous record holder. The Ojard family is part of a very small group as only two schools in Minnesota teach that martial arts discipline. In addition to her brother, Matteah’s parents are also black belts in Haidong Gumdo.1 / 2
