A proposal on the rocks literally
Jeremy had planned to propose on the rocks along the shore of Lake Superior. With the help of family members he had it all set and was ready, but plans quickly started to unravel. One thing after another had him scrambling to make new plans as he went.
He told Sara he really wanted to take the dogs for a swim to cool off and look for agates for his mother -- her part of the new plan -- but with Sara not fully cooperating, a few stretched truths had to be used. After finally getting down on the rocks and pretending to look for agates, Jeremy thought he just might pull it off.
Sara was walking ahead of him when he yelled, "Sara, look at this!" When she turned around, Jeremy was down on one knee with the ring and asked the big question, "Will you marry me?"
It took Sara a few seconds to realize what was happening but excitedly she said "Yes."
