Trump to host mining, trade policy roundtable in Duluth




Marvin E. Johnson passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Marvin was born in Roberts, Mont., in 1928.

He then lived in Duluth after military service in Korea where he maintained military vehicles and was kept on standby as a Finnish language translator. Marvin had his own excavating business for several years and was then employed by the City of Duluth in parks and maintenance, from where he retired in 1992. He loved wildlife, painting and traveling on the road; especially to his hometown of Roberts and other western states..

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Josephine Johnson; brother Herbert Johnson; sister Edna Johnson (Stanley - deceased); grandson Aaron Kellett; Marvins sister Viola Peterson (Dennis -deceased) died five days after him on June 16.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna Nathalia Johnson; son Bruce Johnson (Julie), daughters, Karen Johnson, Cindy Kellett (Scott), Liana Jacobs (Frank); grandchildren Shawn Peters, Candace and Lisa Johnson, Kerri Kellett, Genna Kellett, Tyler Hilgers, Afton Hilgers and Andie Hilgers.
