Judge says Line 3 should go forward along old route



Margaret Busse, cherished aunt, died Aug. 18, 2014, at the Stadter Center in Grand Forks, N.D. She was 89 years old at the time of her death, having lived the last nine years in Thief River Falls.

She was born to Harry and Clara Busse in Cleveland, Minn., on Aug. 14, 1925.

Busse graduated from Denfeld High School, Duluth, in 1943. She began work as a ditto-machine operator at Kelley-How-Thomson immediately after graduation and worked her way to secretary to vice-president of Diamond Tool, retiring in 1987. Both corporations were headquartered in Duluth.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister (Dorothy Hulteen); and her brother-in-law (John Hulteen), as well as one grandniece, Suzanne Elizabeth Hulteen.

Busse is survived by a niece and two nephews: Suzanne Kochevar (Rich Heck), Excelsior, Minn., James Hulteen (Darlene), Thief River Falls, and Bob Hulteen (Susan Masters), Minneapolis; one cousin, Betty Rademacher Mitchell of Oklahoma; eight grandnieces and grandnephews, Ronald Kochevar, Jason (Jenn) Kochevar, Josh (Deanna) Heck, Jarrod (Emelia) Heck, Marit (Bob) Hulteen Rivers, Jeremy Hulteen, Korla Masters, and Ella Master; as well as 12 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews: Justice Kochevar, Jack Kochevar, Sam Kochevar, Riley Heck, Teagan Heck, Clementine Heck, Jaden Rivers, Rachel Rivers, Gretchen Rivers, Lucas Rivers, and Evie Hulteen.

SERVICE: 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, in Johnson Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. (A viewing will begin one hour prior to the service.) The Rev. John Golv will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, Minn.

In lieu of flowers, Busse, who had been a longtime church volunteer in Duluth, would prefer donations be made to the Salvation Army.
