Looking for your big break? Eco-thriller movie seeks actors
The filmmakers behind an eco-thriller set in northern Minnesota are looking for local actors for a mix of roles including leads, supporting roles and extras.
“Strange Nature” is a feature film based on a true outbreak of wildlife mutations discovered in Minnesota in the mid-1990s. The film’s casting director will be in Duluth on July 10-11.
Among the roles they are looking to fill: a gruff man in his late ’60s, a quiet preteen boy, a dopey 30-something and children.

“Strange Nature” writer/co-producer/director Jim Ojala grew up in Duluth and has worked on makeup and creature effects for TV, including “The Shield” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and movies like “Where the Wild Things Are” and “Hellboy 2: The Golden Army.”
