Saints’ Wagner breaks decathlon record

St. Scholastica sophomore Kevin Wagner broke his own program record with 6,479 points to win the decathlon on Wednesday in a meet at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

The point total ranks 11th in NCAA Division III.

Competing over two days, Wagner finished no lower than fourth in his first five events on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Wagner set a personal record in the 110-meter hurdles, winning in 15.49 seconds, and then set another PR in finishing second in the discus with a toss of 114 feet, 4 inches.
