Miller was the top point-getter in 2013 and enters today’s meet already having put UMD in the team lead after repeating as heptathlon champion two weeks ago. Miller also will compete in the 100-meter hurdles and long jump. Junior Amelia Maher, who is the reigning high jump champion, was fourth in the heptathlon as the Bulldogs take 15 points into the two-day meet.

The UMD men placed seventh at last year’s event and return no individual champions from 2013, though juniors Chris Wilson (800 run), Dan Nielsen (3,000 steeplechase) and Nick Moran (hammer throw) all turned in fourth-place finishes while sophomore Mark Emlaw was fifth in the long jump. The Bulldogs’ last NSIC outdoor team title came in 2004.
