Lloyd A. Rustvold, 87, of Cloquet, passed away Monday March 24, 2014 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay.

He was born Sept. 18, 1926 in Nielsville, Minn., to Alf and Gena (Rodseth) Rustvold.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Lloyd was united in marriage to Wanda Skime on June 11, 1948 in Gonvick, Minn. He worked as manager and meat cutter for National Foods; and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, Hebert-Kennedy VFW Post 3979, Carl Anderson American Legion Post 262, and attended the Parkinson's Group meetings.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Raymond Rustvold; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Waltjer.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one son, Wayne Rustvold; two daughters, Renee LaVoie and Kathy Waltjer; two sisters, Bertha (Marvin) Wells and Patricia (Dale) Fraza; five grandchildren, Abraham, Genevieve, Karisa, Samuel and Christine; nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Reagan, John, Kade, Lucia, Bea, Justus, Chance and Justina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 until the 11 a.m. funeral service in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cloquet, followed with Military Honors presented by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow in the church social hall. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. See the family online guest book at
