Death toll rises to at least 24 in California warehouse fire



Kenneth E. Siiro, 76, of Duluth, joined his loving family Friday, April 25, 2014, while at Golden Oaks in Proctor.

He was born Nov. 18, 1937 in Moose Lake to Einar and Aino Siiro.

Ken retired as the Supervisor of Supply, Processing and Distribution at St. Luke's Hospital after 42 years of service. He achieved many awards and acknowledgements including recognition in the Strathmore's Who's Who.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Betty Kelnhofer and Pat Nemec.

He is survived by his brother, Frank (Bonnie) of Munger and a sister, Linda McNeeley of Long Beach, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Oaks for their excellent care of Ken.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Monday, May 12, in Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 2012 E. Superior St. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, 624-5200.
