Iron Range man injured in ATV crash
A 43-year-old Buhl man was injured Saturday afternoon in an all-terrain vehicle crash on the Iron Range.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reported that Rodney Kenyon was driving around a gate and negotiating a ditch at the old Sherman Mine property, between Chisholm and Buhl, just after 3 p.m. when he lost control of his ATV. A riding companion witnessed the crash and called authorities.
Kenyon, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a head injury and was transported first to Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, then transferred to St. Luke's hospital in Duluth. No information on his condition was available on Saturday night.
The Sheriff's Office reported that alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
