Hilda Eleanor Larson, 93, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014.

She was born Aug. 22, 1920 in Hermantown, MN, on the family farm, to Alfred and Alice Erickson.

Hilda attended a two-room school house through the eighth grade. She married George Larson in March of 1942; two weeks later, George went off to war. They remained married for 54 years until George's death in 1996. They lived in Duluth all their lives.

Hilda had worked for 10 years as a floor supervisor for FW Woolworth, in the Plaza and then worked as a Bookkeeper and Sales Person for 20 years at Arrowhead Furniture until her retirement in 1975. She was also a former member of the Moose 505 Auxiliary.

Hilda and George loved to go dancing, camping, fishing, and traveling together. They also wintered in Texas for several years. Hilda enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including attending and visiting with her extended family and friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Duluth Heights.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; brothers, Erick and Bertil Erickson; sisters, Dora Kruger and Olga Lind.

Hilda is survived by her brother, Wilbert Erickson; sister, Laura Larson; many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Friday, April 25 in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1505 Eklund Ave, in Duluth. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery in Hermantown.
