Hibbing man arrested on drug, firearm charges
A Hibbing man has been arrested after police said he was found with “pounds of marijuana packaged for individual sales, over $6,000 believed to be proceeds of the sales of controlled substances and a handgun.”
The 30-year-old was arrested Thursday during the execution of a search warrant on the 2900 block of Seventh Avenue East in Hibbing. He was taken into custody without incident.
The man was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on charges of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree sale of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a firearm. He has not been formally charged.
Members of the Boundary Waters Drug Task Force, Hibbing Police Department, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and St. Louis County Probation executed the warrant.
