HERBERT "HERB" GLASER

Herbert "Herb" Glaser, 83, of Fish Lake, passed away Sunday July 6, 2014 in Benedictine Health Care Center.

He was born in St. Paul on Jan. 9, 1931 to George and Alice Glaser.

Herb graduated from Duluth Central High School Class of 1949. He had worked at Minnesota Power for 37 and a half years retiring in 1990 as a Meter Reading Foreman. Herb was a member for over twenty years of the former Fredenberg Community Chapel, were he enjoyed being head usher for eight years; he was a Past Master of the T.W. Hugo Masonic Lodge. Herb enjoyed traveling with his wife Dorothy to Glenwood Springs, CO in his camper, deer hunting in Grand Marais, with his father-in-law, and he loved living on Fish Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a special "Auntie Mil".

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 60 years, brothers Donald and Robert, two special sisters-in-law Darleen (Bert) Swanson of Park Rapids, Minn., and Elizabeth (Skip) Singer of Denver, Colo., and several nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Thursday July 10, 2014 until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service in Sunrise Funeral Home. Entombment at Sunrise Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow the service in the funeral home.
