CHRONIC CONDITIONS LEADERS
Trained leaders will help people find practical ways to deal with issues related to chronic conditions such as pain and fa-tigue, the need for better nutrition and exercise choices, a better understanding of new treatment options, and learning new ways to talk with family and doctors about health.
Interested volunteers will receive 24 hours of classroom training. The next four-day training class is scheduled for July 15, 16, 22 and 23 in Duluth. - Docents and office support: Volunteers are needed to help at the North End Arts Gallery in the Trade and Commerce building on Hammond Avenue and Broadway Street in Superior. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Monday. Office support volunteers answer the telephone and help keep visitors from handling artwork. Volunteer orientation is provided. - Readers: Volunteers 55 and older are needed to read once a month to kids in Head Start in Superior/Douglas County.

COMMUNITY OFFENDER RE-ENTRY PROGRAM
Soar Career Solutions seeks volunteer mentors for men and women coming out of incarceration and participating in the Community Offender Re-entry program.
Volunteers are asked to meet with a participant one hour a week to provide a meaningful friendship and guidance to ex-offenders. Training is provided. Monthly support and educational groups and/or social events are held for both mentors and mentees.

Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency Inc. seeks volunteers to assist with meal preparation and service at Solid Rock Safe Haven, 1004 N. Sixth St., Superior. Background checks are required and volunteers must be able to lift and carry items up and down stairs.
