CHRONIC CONDITIONS LEADERS
Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging in Duluth seeks volunteers to serve as leaders in the Living Well with Chronic Conditions program. Leaders will facilitate groups of people with chronic conditions with the objectives being to build confidence in self-health management and help maintain an active lifestyle.
Trained leaders will help people find practical ways to deal with issues related to chronic conditions such as pain and fatigue, the need for better nutrition and exercise choices, a better understanding of new treatment options and learning new ways to talk with family and doctors about health.

SENIOR LINKAGE LINE
Senior Linkage Line seeks volunteer health insurance counselors to assist seniors and help individuals make informed decisions about Medicare and other health insurance coverage, complete necessary forms and connect them with available resources. Volunteers should have compassion for seniors and be willing to work with a wide range of people. You will attend an initial 18-hour training to become certified as a State Health Insurance Program Counselor. After the training Senior Linkage Line seeks a one-year minimum time commitment to the program and four hours of service per month as needed.

LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICE
Lutheran Social Service seeks volunteers for the following opportunities.
- Senior companions: Volunteers are needed for 15 (flexible) hours per week to assist others in maintaining the highest level of dignity and independent living possible by visiting homebound/isolated adults, assisting with vital services such as appointments and grocery shopping and acting as a caring friend. Training, small stipend and mileage reimbursement provided; must be 60 or older to draw the stipend. Call Peg at (218) 724-0648.
- Caregiver respite volunteer: Seeking volunteers to provide in-home companionship, a safe environment and informal, nonmedical care for an elderly or disabled adult in order to give the primary caregiver temporary relief from the responsibilities of caregiving. CENTER AGAINST SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC ABUSE
CASDA seeks volunteers to help provide supportive services to people hurt by domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse. Volunteer opportunities include child care, front office support, client transportation (mileage paid) and on-call hospital advocacy.
