Friday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Chance of scattered storms
TODAY: The humidity pushes from the west and south as a low-pressure system approaches. With the southwest wind at 5-10 mph, expect highs to reach 80. The heat and humidity will warrant a 30 percent chance of scattered storms.
SATURDAY: A cold front to our north will push into the region, forcing up the warmth and moisture from the low to our south. This front give us a 40 percent chance of storms throughout the day with mostly cloudy skies. The clouds will keep low temperatures on the mild side with low 60s and the high temps will top off in the mid-70s.
SUNDAY: High pressure builds behind the cold front with dry air with an east wind to keep temperatures cooler by the lake. Lows will be in the mid-50s and high in the low 70s.
MONDAY: A strong low associated with a small trough in the jet stream will push east over the region increasing chances of rain and storms. Chance of rain is around 40 percent with mostly cloudy skies. Lows are in the low 50s and highs in the low 70s.
