Free breakfast offered for Embarrass, Minn. residents
Residents of Embarrass, Minn., can ditch the cold weather and warm up with a free hot breakfast at Hell's Kitchen on Saturday.
Residents are invited to the 10,000-square-foot underground restaurant in Minneapolis to enjoy their lemon ricotta pancakes, bison sausage, caramel rolls, Bloody Marys and more.
"When we think of cold weather we can't help but to think of Embarrass," Pat Forciea, vice president of Hell's Kitchen, said. "They have some of the coldest temperatures in Minnesota right now, so we just wanted to do something fun and nice for the town."
Hell's Kitchen typically serves 1,300 people for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. Forciea received calls from Hibbing, Duluth and other surrounding cities asking to host a free breakfast for their town.
"This was a spare of the moment idea, I was just watching the forecast last night and kept thinking back to Embarrass," Forciea said. "If this works out then who knows we may offer this again for a different city."
As of press time, more than 12 people had indicated they would accept Hell's Kitchen's offer.
To participate in the offer, residents have to bring a valid Embarrass ID and shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
