Faces & names: Perkins makes the top five for ‘The Voice’

Kat Perkins, “The Rockin’ Nanny” from Minneapolis, found herself fighting for votes Tuesday for the second week in a row on the NBC singing show as she sang “Barracuda” by Heart. She will move on to the next round against four other singers. She went up against Sisaundra Lewis, Delvin Choice and Audra McLaughlin, who were eliminated.

“I actually don’t know (whether Perkins is safe),” coach Adam Levine said after being asked whether she would advance. “One thing I do know is that she does deserve to move on.

“I’m at peace with everything and I hope America agrees with me.”

Perkins was left standing in the bottom four, forcing her to sing for an “Instant Save.” Voters had five minutes to tweet and save Perkins.
