Faces & Names: Malia Obama works on Berry’s TV pilot
President Barack Obama’s oldest daughter Malia could be setting her sights on Hollywood now that school is out.
Malia Obama, who turns 16 on July 4, was recently spotted working as a production assistant in Los Angeles on the set of Halle Berry’s upcoming sci-fi series “Extant.”
“She helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take,” the insider said.
CBS has not yet not responded to requests for comment. A spokesperson for first lady Michelle Obama also has not responded.
In the series — which hails from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and CBS Television Studios — Berry will play an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.
