Eva Mae Lindbeck, 91, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 in Minneapolis.

She was born May 13, 1923 in Aitkin, Minn., to Edward and Cleo (Jones) Aklestad.

Eva grew up in Rainier and International Falls, but lived most of her adult life in Duluth. She was a cook for many years at Northland Country Club and UMD. Eva retired in 1985. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and was affectionately called 'Grandma Eva' by all who played on every team. Eva also enjoyed bingo, dice, any card games, and had a deep affection for furry friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Nels Lindbeck; brother, Clarence Aklestad; sisters, Shirley Rinne and Carol Oustad.

Eva will be sadly missed by her children, Stanley (Cindy Evenson) Johanson, Susan Tucker, Ellen (James) Lane, and Nancy (Gary George) Olson; grandchildren, Tom Wohosky, Terri Burkel, Neill Olson, Erika Johanson, and Danielle Olson; five great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.

MEMORIAL GATHERING: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 27 in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth
