Judge says Line 3 should go forward along old route



Eunice M. Spies, a lifelong resident of Cloquet, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth.

She was born October 4, 1925 in Scanlon to Donna (Bowers) and Pyrl D. Edwards.

Eunice was united in marriage to Thomas Spies on July 16, 1949 in Kerrick, Minn and this past year, celebrated their 65th anniversary. Eunice enjoyed traveling and camping with family but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. The family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their loving care.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tom on March 14, 2014; brothers Willis and Norman Edwards; and sister Phyllis Paquette.

She is survived by her children Michael (Heidi) Spies and Kathleen (Bernie) Konsti; sisters Doris Huot and Lois Kolodge; brother-in-law James Paquette; sister-in-law Charlyne (Clifford) Dahl; grandchildren Cory and Kristin Konsti, and Jennifer and Matthew Spies; and numerous nieces and nephews.

PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES: Will be held at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Interment will be in New Calvary Cemetery. Visit to leave an online condolence.
