Essentia Health to invest $5 million in mental health care in Duluth
Essentia Health announced plans today for a $5 million investment in mental health care in Duluth.
The project, detailed in a news release this morning, will involve renovating the fourth floor of Essentia Health-Duluth — the former Miller-Dwan Medical Center. That floor houses the hospital’s Adult Inpatient Behavioral Unit.
Work is expected to begin late this summer, according to the news release.
The renovation will include more open space for patient care, better views of Lake Superior from patient rooms, additional meeting space, and a central desk for staff.
