Eh?: Train up in mental-health first aid
Youth mental-health first-aid certification training will take place Saturday, May 10, as part of University of Minnesota Duluth continuing education.
The eight-hour course is designed to help laypeople identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness in others.
The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the UMD campus at the Labovitz School of Business and Economics, 1318 Kirby Drive, Room 125. The cost is $135 per person; $85 for UMD students, staff, faculty and alumni. Training includes a manual, certificate and refreshments, but lunch is on your own.
Attendance is limited to individuals 16 and older.
