Eh?: Sidewalk Days are here again
In the mood to stroll down the middle of Superior Street eating walleye on a stick? How about cheese curds or a bag of hot mini-donuts?
Well, you can indulge once again this Wednesday through Friday when Superior Street is closed to vehicle traffic from Lake Avenue to Fourth Avenue West for the annual Sidewalk Days Festival, sponsored by the Greater Downtown Council.
More than 50 vendors will join downtown merchants to sell their wares and culinary creations on the street from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There’ll be music and kids’ activities. And Thursday, various notables will again be rappelling down the nine-story Sellwood Building to raise money for loans to help retailers improve their storefronts.
Hundreds of vintage cars will line up from Fourth Avenue West to Third Avenue East from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday for a classic car show while live bands play. A street dance will be held in front of Aces on First and Roscoe’s Pioneer Bar at 8 p.m. Friday and in front of Dubh Linn Irish Pub at 6 p.m. Saturday.
