While most people abandon their New Year’s resolutions before the snow leaves the ground, Bonnie Ambrosi has been working diligently on hers. And now she needs your help to finish it.

Ambrosi’s goal is to launch the first of what she said she hopes will be an annual event in Duluth. Think music fest cum social engagement project to open the Northland’s eyes to the origins of the nation’s factory farms.

She needs musicians who, unlike say, Slayer, have songs in their repertoire that deal with a positive change, compassion and songs dealing with reform.

The gig doesn’t kick off until Oct. 4, around the Feast of St. Francis, so there’s plenty of time to get the old band together, or to learn how to bang out some bit of music on the tambourine.
