Duluth woman accused of stabbing man during fight

A 23-year-old Duluth woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she allegedly stabbed a man during a fight.

The woman was arrested and faces assault charges after Duluth police responded to the 1200 block of East Fifth Street, where she and a 24-year-old male were reportedly involved in a physical altercation outside a residence.

The male was uncooperative, police said, and officers noticed a stab wound to his stomach. While officers tried to administer first aid, the man began fighting; he was restrained and later transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators later executed a search warrant at the residence, where they found the knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.

The woman is being held at the St. Louis County Jail.
