Cynthia Ann (Goodell) Werbelow, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Solvay Hospice House, with her family at her side.

She was born Aug. 13, 1956.

She graduated from Proctor High School in 1974. Cindi met Richard Werbelow and they were married Nov. 19, 1977 in Pine Hill Church. Together, they had five children. Cindi was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and baker, making Christmas cookies for many people. She never missed a holiday without making extra special goodies.

As her children grew, Cindi worked at Hermantown General Store, the Big Bottle shop and Home Health Care. Cindi cared for her great-aunt and uncle, Ruth and George Eklund until nursing home care was needed.

Cindi was preceded in death by her husband, Rick in November, 2008; grandparents, Gilbert and Esther Gulbranson, Marv and Marge Goodell.

She is survived by her children, Julia Joy (Josh Finch) Werbelow of Penn., Shaun of Cloquet, Kristopher, Matthew and Timothy of Duluth; grandson, Branden Werbelow of Cloquet; parents, Kenneth and Karen (Gulbranson) Mallow of Cloquet; sister, Kristin (Rock) (Mallow) LaBounty of Moose Lake; brother, Mark Goodell; step-brothers and sister, Randy (Sue) Mallow of Duluth, Judy (Steve) Reinkall of Superior and Rick (Patty) Mallow of superior; her sons friend, Chase Carlson, who was like another son to her; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Essentias I.C.U., hospice nurse, Karen and all the staff at Solvay Hospice House for their exceptional care of Cindi.

GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, April 8, 2014. in the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., 624-5200.
