Cloquet teacher placed on leave after undisclosed complaint
A Cloquet Senior High School teacher was placed on paid administrative leave, recently, after a complaint was filed against him, according to the school district’s superintendent.
The teacher has been placed on leave while the complaint is investigated, said Superintendent Ken Scarbrough.
Scarbrough wouldn’t disclose the nature of the complaint or whether it was filed by a student or employee, citing state public records laws.
Cloquet police said the department has conferred with the district on a personnel matter but no arrest has been made.
“We don’t even know if it’s criminal in nature,” said interim Chief Terry Hill. “It’s still under investigation.”
Because the investigation is incomplete and may not result in a disciplinary action or charges, the News Tribune has chosen not to release the teacher’s name.
