CLINTON R. "CLINT" HURTIG

Clinton R. "Clint" Hurtig, 71, of Duluth, passed away at home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1942 to Russell and Hazel (Moe) Hurtig.

He attended Homecroft Elementary, Washington Junior and Central High School. Clint joined the 148th Air National Guard and later the Army. He married his loving wife Barb Anderson in 1966. Clint was the former co-owner of Napa Twin Automotive for 16 years with his twin brother Cliff. He also worked for Mack Truck and was currently employed by the City of Superior.

He was an original charter member of Bear Island Golf Group at Lester Park Golf Course. He loved his Thursday night bowling at Ridgeview Lanes as well as hunting, fishing, boating and all the great memories he had at Island Lake with the whole "crew". Clint was a very devoted, loving, caring, and understanding husband, father and grandpa. He would go out of his way to help anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Bruce.

Clint will be greatly missed and is survived his wife Barb; two daughters, Tami (Todd) Hurtig-Pagel and Traci Hurtig; two sons, Russ and Rich Hurtig; grandsons, Jake, Braydon and Tyler; granddaughter Kayla; twin brother Clifford (Karen); sister Elaine Anderson; brothers, Larry (Judy), Lloyd (Marcia) and Daniel (Deb) Hurtig; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, family members and friends.
