Civil rights pilgrimage: More than facts

I gained an incredible amount of knowledge on this trip; in no other way would I have been able to learn so much about the civil rights movement.

I’ve lived in Minnesota all my life except for a short time when I went to Kenya. I had to memorize facts like the Brown v. Board of Education case and the Rodney King case, but those were only facts. It was amazing to hear the personal stories and see the physical evidence of history.
