City ‘strongly committed to protecting … Hartley’
“We are quickly zeroing in on a very strong plan that will make a better Hartley, not a different kind of park, not a metro-area kind of park, but the Hartley we know and love — but certainly more accessible, more sustainable and closer to its original natural condition.
“We are strongly committed to protecting and improving the wildlife habitat in Hartley. We know of no research that would validate the concern that the planned improvements would in any way diminish the quality of wildlife habitat in the park today.”
