* Gov. Wendell Anderson and a slate of DFL-endorsed candidates were in Duluth yesterday to kick off a campaign tour of major Minnesota cities. The tour was led by three DFL incumbents, Anderson, Lt. Gov. Rudy Perpich, and Atty. Gen. Warren Spannaus.

* Gary Andelin won his second Lakeview Medal golf tournament yesterday at Lester Park, beating Jeff Krummel by three shots. Andelin shot a three-under par 69 in the final round of the day, finishing the tournament with a five-under 211 total.

* Two fire crews from northern Minnesota have been sent to battle the South Canyon wildfire in Colorado. A Bureau of Indian Affairs crew from Red Lake and a crew of employees of Voyageurs National Park left for Colorado yesterday.

* The Heart of the North Rodeo is expected to attract 15,000 people to Spooner this weekend. Rodeo fans will add about $750,000 to the economy, affecting nearly every business in Spooner and the surrounding area.
