* Camilla Hall, a former caseworker for the St. Louis County Welfare Department, has been named with two other women in the alleged Symbionese Liberation Army holdup of a San Francisco bank. Hall left Duluth for the Twin Cities in 1968.

* The city of Duluth yesterday announced steps to ease the annual strain on people and property brought on by the smelt run. Police Chief Milo Tasky said double the usual number of policemen will be on duty during this year’s smelt run.

* The St. Louis County Zoning Department yesterday approved plans for a $6 million condominium project north of Giants Ridge resort in Biwabik. The project will include a 40,000-square-foot lodge, 33 rental domes and 33 townhomes, all spread over 84 acres.

* A Minnesota Air National Guard jet dropped three fuel tanks into Lake Superior early yesterday after experiencing engine problems. The F-16 was on a training mission and was able to return to the Duluth International Airport and land safely.
