A family-friendly festival with a social conscience has gone a different direction this year with its headlining act.

The KIDZ BOP Kids’ “Dream Big, Sing Loud!” tour is the main event at this year’s Twin Ports Bridge Festival, which will run alongside the Lake Superior Harvest Festival on Sept. 6 at Bayfront Festival Park.

Other acts include That 1 Guy, who incorporates humor and magic into his show, and Red Mountain, a local band that fills the stage with instruments and costumes. There will be community yoga, led by Yoga North, and a Peace Run to raise money for the Just For the Fun of It dances.

Charity Huot, Maddy Siiter, Biochemical Characters, Wood Blind, Black River Revue, Gentlemen’s Anti-Temperance League and Clocks and Clouds play the KUMD stage.

There will be live animals, a farmer’s market, demonstrations and exhibits.

The festival is free until 4 p.m., and admission is a donation for the evening events. A limited number of advance tickets can be reserved starting at 10 a.m. Friday at twinportsbridgefestival.com.

KIDZ BOP is an act that performs contemporary pop music with a kid-friendly twist. The Bop Kids have been named Billboard magazine’s top kids’ artists for the fourth consecutive year. The group released “KIDZ Bop 26” earlier this year.
