It’s the 1950s, and abstract artist Mark Rothko has been commissioned to paint a series of murals for The Four Seasons Restaurant. In “Red,” a modern bio-play by John Logan, an intense Rothko and his assistant, Ken, paint and consider art theory in a Bowery studio.
