Best Bets: The final Food Truck Friday
Speaking of end-of-summer events: This is the last time the local food trucks will jointly converge on the pavillion next to the public library and dish their fare during the noon hour.
In other words: it’s the final Food Truck Friday (though if you follow the food trucks online, they will probably maintain a presence where groups of people gather to drink beer for a bit longer).
If you’re looking for some tried and tested picks: the News Tribune food reviewer has given big ups to Chow Haul’s iron bowl, “a spicy peanut-sauced melange of noodles, bok choy, bell peppers, scallion, cilantro, bean sprout and carrots. … Sprinkled with Mexican cotija cheese” and the shredded chicken taco.
As for The Rambler — the biggies include the teriyaki pulled pork and the ham and cheese croissant with asparagus and hollandaise.
