Best Bets: Arrowhead Chorale performs Brahms’ masterpiece
The Arrowhead Chorale will join with the orchestra from the St. Paul Conservatory for the Performing Arts for a performance of Brahms’ “Requiem.”
Soloists include Nathan Herfindahl and Aliese Hoesel.
Brahms’ “Requiem” was written in the 1860s and is believed to have been written in memory of his mother and, possibly, Robert Schumann. It is seven movements, his longest piece of work.
