August E. "Augie" Fredrick, 82, of Cotton, Minn., passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 with his loving wife and family by his side.

August was born in Butternut, Wis., on June 3, 1931 to August and Lillian (Boness) Fredrick.

He worked for 33 years as a mechanic for Larson Chevrolet in Superior. August was a "jack of all trades" who could fix anything. He enjoyed the outdoors and the warm winters spent in Yuma, Ariz. Known for his pleasant disposition, he was loved and respected by all.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Marlene and step-son Harley Todd Davidson.

August is survived by his wife Patty; children, Steven (Jeanne), Bonnie (Kyle), Larry (Berta), Tim (Dawn), Linda (Denny), Deb (Denny), Keith (Mary Jo), Kevin (Cindy), Dawn (Chuck); daughter-in-law Shelly; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother John (Barb); sister Lillian; therapy dog Sadie; as well as many extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Essentia Hospice of Virginia and Dr. Brett Friday and his oncology infusion team.
