Arnold, Karpiel wedding
Maria Arnold and Edward Karpiel, both of San Francisco, were married July 13 at the Arnold residence on Schultz Lake in Duluth.
Her parents are Jerome and Judith Arnold of Duluth. His parents are Edward and Gail Karpiel of Naperville, Ill.
The bride chose Anne Sause as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenny Dahlberg, Lara Ahrens, Rohini Reddy, Erica Douglas and Ashu Khaitan. Ainsley, Ashley, Maya and Allison Arnold were flower girls.
The groom chose Christopher Cox as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Altman, Nicholas Kwaan, Jakob Kirschenbaum and Kabir Julka. John Arnold Jr. was ring bearer.
The bride, a 2000 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in history, and from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor in 2011 with a master's degree in business administration. She works in marketing for The Clorox Co. in Oakland, Calif.
The groom, a 1997 graduate of Benet Academy in Lisle, Ill., graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., in 2001 with a bachelor's degree and in 2003 with a master's degree, both in electrical engineering, and from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in 2011 with a master's degree in business administration. He works in finance for Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco.
