A&E Notes: Duluth Playhouse seeks actors

The Duluth Playhouse is looking for actors interested in expanding theater skills to participate in a new Adult Educational Acting Company this upcoming season.

Members of the company would be involved with practicums and take free company classes, which will focus on acting and dance. Company members must be out of high school and not involved with college-level theater courses.

The Playhouse is hoping for a yearlong commitment from actors.

Company members are not assured spots in Playhouse productions and are free to participate in productions outside of the Playhouse.

“We’re finding a way to give people classes for free — to build knowledge and skills for the community at large.”

Fifteen-minute interview slots are available on Saturday. Those interested should contact Amber Burns at aburns4021@gmail.com.
