Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 35 to Lake Avenue in Duluth on Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Scott C. Shoberg, 41, and Brenda K. Shoberg, 46, both of Duluth, were taken to St. Luke’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the accident, which was reported at 2:50 p.m.

No further information was available from the hospital.

The State Patrol said Scott Shoberg was the driver of a 2000 Ford Windstar that lost control on the Lake Avenue exit. Road conditions were described as icy.

A Chevrolet K5 driven by Chet D. Barnes, 23, of Two Harbors struck the Windstar, which rolled over. Neither Barnes nor his three passengers suffered any apparent injuries, the State Patrol reported.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor, the Patrol said. All six people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
